About Me
I was drawn to the field of therapy through a deep interest in how people heal and rebuild after difficult life experiences. Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of settings, including community mental health, residential treatment, in-home services, inpatient hospitalization, and therapeutic foster care and adoption. These experiences have profoundly shaped my approach as a clinician.
I believe strongly in the importance of trauma-informed and solution-focused approach in the context of a harm-reduction model. My work is grounded in meeting people where they are, with respect, curiosity, and compassion. Through my many years of working with individuals who have experienced trauma, I have developed a specialization in EMDR therapy and integrative approaches designed to support meaningful, lasting healing.
I am a mother to an elementary aged child and one year old golden retriever. I maneuver the world as a person with ADHD and have a mild obsession with hand embroidery. I encourage clients to come to session as they are. Dress comfortably, bring snacks and crafts if you’d like. I may join you.
